Jeff joined Condley and Company, L.L.P. in 1995. As Partner in charge of the Assurance Department, he is the lead for multiple industries including financial institutions, healthcare, not-for-profit, governmental and other for profit industries. Jeff specifically assists in financial institution engagements, including, BSA audits, IT exams, internal audits, loan review and other consulting services.
As the department head, Jeff is responsible for the departmental operations, detail reviews of all work performed and final review for client reports. Based on his experience as a bank examiner and additional knowledge obtained from an accounting perspective, he is the front-line business advisor on banking management and the main contact for all of the firm’s financial institution clients.
Jeff began his professional career in 1991 at the Texas Department of Banking. He served as a banking examiner for state chartered banks in the West Texas region. Jeff’s current and previous roles have given him the necessary experience to assist his clients with a broad range of technical and strategic issues. For example, he helped a client implement the effects of SFSAS 140 as it relates to the participation agreement. In another instance, Jeff assisted in the allowance for loan and lease losses methodology.
Jeff was inspired to pursue an accounting career when he passed his CPA exam as a bank examiner. He was interested in understanding the aspects of financial statements. Jeff’s straight-forward thinking and strong work ethic help him create long-lasting relationships with the clients he serves.
Jeff is originally from Ranger, Texas and currently resides in Clyde, with his wife, Vicki and their three sons. While away from the office, he can be found hunting, fishing or reading. Jeff also enjoys working on his farm, especially dozer work, and he coaches his sons in baseball.
