Ray Ferguson, Condley and Company’s managing partner, received one of three 2019 Business Hall of Fame awards from Junior Achievement of Abilene.

A member of the Condley team since 1981, Ray provides personal and business financial planning, estate and trust administration services, and income and estate tax planning and compliance services.

He was honored Feb. 26 for his work in financial literacy among youths of the Abilene area.  Sarah Franz, executive director for Junior Achievement of Abilene, said the three new members of the Business Hall of Fame are among leaders from various industries who volunteer with Junior Achievement in six area school districts.  “They contribute to the community through the businesses that they’re involved in,” she added.

Ferguson said he enjoys “working with kids and working with school systems to help provide financial literacy, provide entrepreneurship training, and give them a good understanding of how the world really works.”

Ferguson is a former member of the Abilene City Council and the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.  He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and received a Rotary Foundation fellowship for graduate studies in economic theory.  Ferguson has served as chair of elders at the church where he and his family worship, and he works in medical missions programs each summer in Zambia.
