Ryan joined the Condley and Company, L.L.P. team in 2006. In his role as partner, he is responsible for providing assurance and consulting services. In addition to his firm leadership role, Ryan works with a diverse group of clients, including financial institutions, employee benefit plans, healthcare, not-for-profits, and for-profit entities. For his banking clients, he provides internal audits, call reports and regulatory reporting assistance, year-end financial statement audits, loan reviews, and Bank Secrecy Act reviews. He also assists with peer review engagements.
Ryan started his professional career in accounting with Condley and Company soon after receiving his Bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University. During college, he served as an accounts payable assistant for three years and as a sales assistant for a financial advisor. Ryan was responsible for coordinating vendor issues and internal payable processes as well as assisting in the selection and implementation of various investment options. His current and previous roles have given him the necessary experience to assist his clients with a broad range of technical and strategic financial issues.
Over the years, Ryan’s extensive background has proven instrumental in helping colleagues and clients accomplish their unique goals. In one recent example, he worked with Condley and Company’s audit department to streamline the audit process and ensure reports were issued in the timeliest manner possible. In addition, Ryan recommended and helped implement changes to a banking client’s internal controls, which increased efficiencies and strengthened their internal controls. Ryan was inspired to pursue an accounting career by his mother. She took accounting classes in college and suggested he would be successful in the profession. Today, Ryan attributes much of his success to his strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to develop lasting relationships with his clients and colleagues.
Ryan grew up in Abilene, Texas and currently resides there with his wife, Libby, and their two children. While away from the office, he enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and working on home renovations.
